Caïssa Gladsaxe is a chess club, where we welcome everyone who likes to play chess in a pleasant atmosphere. Most of our members speak some english, but in a way a game of chess is an international language. At least there is not that much need for a lot of talk during the game.
Over time we have had members of many different nationalities in our club. Right now we have players from China and Iran and occasionally guests from Iceland, France and Greece.
Come and visit the club a Tuesday night a few times and see if it's something for you. Have a talk about the club and play some chess. We are usually in the club from 7 pm on Tuesdays.
Address: Til Jernbanen 20, 2880 Bagsværd. See the location here: Go to map

Caïssa Gladsaxe was established in 1933 under the name Søborg Arbejder-Skak. Since then, the club has been an important contribution to the chess life in Gladsaxe. There have been ups and downs, there have been splits and mergers, and we believe and hope that today we are embarking on an upturn. Our best team moved up to the 1st division in 2020. This team meets on Wednesdays, while the base group meets on Tuesdays. On Tuesdays, we also have beginners' lessons for children and advanced teaching for young, ambitious talents.
